“Mukagali Makataev — 95 YEARS”
At the Kazaly Transport and Technical Higher College, a library hour titled “Read Poetry with Your Heart” was held, dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the outstanding figure of Kazakh poetry, master of words, M. Makataev.
The purpose of the event was the broad popularization of the poet’s heritage among the younger generation, increasing interest in reading books, as well as fostering humanity, patriotism, love, and a sensitive attitude toward life through his poetry.
Course of the event:
Creative heritage: Students were presented with meaningful information about the life path and творчество of M. Makataev.
Poetry minute: Excerpts from such works as “When Swans Sleep,” “Kazaly Wind,” “Oh, Life,” “The Tale of Life,” and “No, Doctor” found their way into the hearts of listeners, once again proving the immortality of the author’s poetry.
Voice of the era: A special atmosphere was created by listening to recordings of the poet’s live voice. His poems, aphorisms, and reflections allowed a deeper understanding of the philosophical depth and civic position of the author.
Book exhibition: The organizer of the event, college librarian S. Sugurova, prepared an exhibition titled “Mukagali — Eternal Life.” It featured collections of poems, long poems, diaries, and memoirs of the poet.
“Read Poetry with Your Heart” became not just an evening of remembrance, but an instructive meeting that enriched the spiritual world of young people and strengthened their love for poetry. The enduring legacy of Mukagali and his heart-touching poems will live forever together with the Kazakh people.
