“LANGUAGE IS THE FACE OF THE PEOPLE, THE FLAG OF THE NATION”
On September 5, at the Kazaly Transport and Technical Higher College, as part of the celebration of the Day of the Languages of the People of
Kazakhstan, and in honor of the birthday of the outstanding educator, scholar, public figure, and Teacher of the Nation, Akhmet Baitursynov, a festive event was held for first‑year students.
The theme of the event was “Language is the face of the people, the flag of the nation.”
The head of the language association, G. Zholdybayeva, told the students about the life journey and educational activities of Akhmet Baitursynov, emphasizing his invaluable contribution to the development and preservation of the Kazakh language, national culture, and the spiritual heritage of the people.
The special atmosphere of the event was created by the students of groups LMK‑26/9, LTE‑26/9, KO‑26/9, TSK‑26/9, and SOB‑26/9, who enrolled in the college this year. They demonstrated their creative abilities by expressively reading works of fiction in Kazakh, Russian, and English.
The English language teacher, A. Yersayn, conducted an engaging quiz for the students, which allowed the participants to showcase their knowledge, erudition, and interest in languages.
At the end of the event, S. Nuraly, the college’s deputy director for academic affairs, delivered a closing speech, highlighting the importance of learning and respecting languages, and wishing the students success in their studies, new achievements, and a confident path to knowledge.
The festive event was held in an atmosphere of unity and respect for languages and national values, once again reminding all participants that language is not just a means of communication, but also the soul, history, and spiritual wealth of a people.
