In September 2024, the Head of State, in his annual Address to the Nation, declared 2025 the Year of Working Professions.

As President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted, the Year of Working Professions will help promote the idea of conscientious work and professionalism in society. The state always provides support to those who strive to work honestly. This is fully consistent with the principle of "Adal enbek-Adal tabys" and is one of the key factors in building a Just Kazakhstan.

In accordance with the educational plan, a meeting with a labor veteran was held at the Kazaly Transport and Technical Higher College as part of the Year of Working Professions, at the initiative of the Association of Specialized Subjects. The event was titled "The Path of Elders is Greatness; Descendants Will Follow It, Realizing It!"

The guest of honor at the event was Matygul Ermagambetuly Bekmambetov, a 1973 college graduate, labor veteran of the Kazaly Carriage Repair Depot of Kamkor Wagon LLC, and Deputy Chairman of the Kazaly District Veterans Council.

He recounted significant moments in the history of the educational institution, shared how he overcame difficulties during his years of work, how he participated in the opening of new specialty groups, and the difficult path he took to reach his current position.

During the event, Deputy Director for Educational and Industrial Work A. Akhmetova noted that during the Year of Working Professions, our society is taking consistent measures to improve the status and working conditions of workers. She emphasized that the path of qualified specialists always sets an example for teachers and young people, and expressed her sincere wishes.

During the meeting, students asked M. Bekmambetov questions on various topics. The veteran of labor wished the young people the right choice of profession and "to lay the right foundation for their lives."
